About Hq Xian Apartment Guesthouse

Hq Xian Apartment Guesthouse consists of a husband and wife team, with Mei from China and myself Todd from NZ. We have been operating our Guesthouse and providing accommodation in Xian for 3 years, and are now highly regarded by more than 1000 previous guests from all over the World. We have catered to families, couples, business people, professors, diplomats, philanthropists, sinologists, writers, artists, professional athletes, nuclear chemists, electricians, wedding dress makers, headmasters, Olympic time keepers, students, botanists, carpenters, software gurus, social workers and even pole dancers - just an incredible diversity of people.

We are a family operation and operate our business in that capacity by providing personal service which we believe is our point of difference compared to big hotels - we even provide our guests with a complimentary mobile phone so they can contact us if there are any problems when out enjoying the city - a type of mobile hotline to Hq.

Our place is a small apartment style set up and we now have 4 separate apartments available for short or long term stays which are all perfectly located smack in the center of Xian. All the apartments are newly furnished, over 100m2 with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, lounge and kitchen and can sleep 6 people comfortably. Our current planning includes adding an additional apartment this year which will bring the total to five. We feel we have made some progress from our opening 3 years ago when we had bunk beds throughout our own apartment!! These days guests have their own "Home away from Home" a few doors down from us.

While we provide central accommodation in Xi'an for families, couples and independent travellers of all ages, we also now run Xian Travel Service which offers specialized private tours that are both flexible and culturally enriching. As Mei is a qualified tour guide it made sense to complement our Guesthouse by adding these services.

Honestly we love what we do and feel lucky that we get to meet and make new friends with interesting people from all over the World. In addition we genuinely feel that Xian is a fantastic place to live, and we do our best to help our guests get the most out of it. There is much more to Xian than the Terracotta Warriors.
